International News: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reacted for the first time to the Pahalgam terror attack, calling it "unfortunate." He also claimed that Pakistan had offered a fair and international inquiry into the attack, which India rejected and chose the path of military action. Significantly, on 7 May, India destroyed 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) under "Operation Sindoor."

In response, Pakistan tried to target Indian military bases on 8, 9, and 10 May, but the Indian Army gave a strict and decisive reply. After this four-day struggle, on May 10, the two countries agreed to the ceasefire.

"Pahalgam incident was unfortunate," : Shahbaz Sharif

Addressing a program in Pok's capital, Muzaffarabad, Sharif said, "The Pahalgam incident was condemnable and unfortunate. The situation of war could take a dangerous turn at any time, but the two countries showed understanding." During this time he distributed compensation checks to the families of the struggle and injured citizens.

India rejected the investigation motion: Pakistan's claim

Sharif said that Pakistan was ready for a fair and international inquiry into the attack. "India should have cooperated in the investigation, but he started military action by rejecting our offer, to which we also gave a befitting reply," he said.

"Revenge of 1971 defeat": provocative claims

In his statement, Sharif also made a disputed claim that Pakistan had taken "revenge" for the 1971 war defeat. He said that this time the Pakistani army targeted only Indian military bases, and the families of the soldiers who were martyred in the struggle will be given financial assistance ranging from Rs 10 to 18 million.

India's attitude clear: zero tolerance against terror

However, it has been made clear from India that it will not relax about terrorism. 'Operation Sindoor' was part of this policy, under which a clear message was given by targeting the terrorist structures that India is fully cautious about its security.
